TaraTex
Bio-Based Antioxidant for Lyocell Fibre
Made for Green Fibre ‘Loycell’
Greenfiber
About Lyocell
Advantages of Lyocell
Naturally Recyclable
Green fibre from nature, has strengths of natural fibre and synthetic fibre, is bio-based degradable and green recyclable.
Eco-friendly closed production process, with recylable solvents.
The fibre is produced in an environmentally friendly, closed-loop process. All organic solvents are non-toxic and harmless, and solvent recovery achieves more than 99.7% recycling
Key Issue of Lyocell Fibre Industry
Green and Low-Carbon Production Requirements
Ultra high solvent recovery
Green Antioxidant specially for Lyocell Fibre
TaraTex (Propyl Gallate)
About TeraTex
TaraTex serves as a stabilizer, antioxidant, and metal chelating agent to ensure a high recovery rate of solvents produced by the Lyocell industry and help the Lyocell industry become more efficient and green.
Advantages of TaraTex
1. Green Ingredient – Tara
A green ingredient derived from the natural tara plant, it is a recyclable resource.
Tara, the ancient Inca’s ‘Green Gold’
Tara originates from the Andes region, South America. The ancient Incas used Tara pods to the dye textile and ceramics, as well as leather and medicine. That is why it is called the ‘Inca’s Green Gold’.
Today, Tara pod is known for the primary plant source of hydrolysed tannins. This high valued product is widely used in many different industries such as animal feed, food, leather, pharmaceutical and electronic chemicals.
2. Green Technology- Tara Bio-enzymatic Hydrolysis
TaraBio uses an enzymatic hydrolysis process to hydrolyze Tara. Compared with the traditional acid-base hydrolysis process:
More environmentally friendly
- Very few hazardous chemicals are used, more environmentally friendly
- Very little hazardous waste is produced, reducing pollution
Cost effective
- The by-products Tara residue and hydrolysis mother liquor can be prepared into other products
3. Green Supply Chain – Quality Ensurance and Stable Supply
The world’s leading artificial-scale Tara plantation
Ensure a stable supply of raw materials
35,000 acres of Tara planting base: There are 35,000 acres of Tara plantation in the ICA and OLMOS regions of Peru. It is currently the only large-scale artificial Tara plantation in Peru. 4,500 acres have been planted and 30,000 acres are still to be planted. Match the market development needs and adjust the planting scale at any time.
The harvest of Tara fruit is increased by 2-3 times: We use seed bioengineering technology and planting technology, which is more productive and easier to scale up than other enclosed plantings.
Leading modern Tara production plant
Ensure product quality and supply stability
GA&PG factory: with a production capacity of 2,000 tons/year of gallic acid and propyl ester to meet the growing needs of lyocell fiber, food, and electronic industries.
Tara tannic acid production factory: The modern Tara tannin factory located in Peru covers an area of 11,000 square meters and can produce 15,000 tons of Tara tannic acid annually to meet the growing demand for tannic acid and downstream derivatives.
Carbon Life Cycle Certified Factory
Green Sustainable Development
Our Peruvian factories and plantations have obtained the Level 1 Carbon Life Cycle Certification from the Peruvian Ministry of Environmental Protection. We have achieved preliminary results in green and low-carbon construction in the entire process of planting, production and transportation. Next, we will continue to deepen green and low-carbon construction and move towards carbon neutrality.
